Another massive week of racing around the World for Sunshine Coast Triathlon Academy / Hybrid Concepts Australia Athletes.

Kicking it off on Saturday we saw Drew Williams in action at the inaugural Mandela Triathlon in South Africa. Drew is fine tuning for an assault on the ITU Junior World Triathlon Champs in Chicago in 3 weeks. By all accounts this is going well with a  strong performance to be 2nd overall only 32 seconds of the Race Title.

On Sunday we had athletes in all distances at the Sunshine Coast Marathon Run Festival which included, Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 5km and 2km events. SCTA female took the majority of bling out of the race with Race titles to Malin Olson (Half Marathon), Kirra Seidel (10km), Romy Wolstencroft (5km), Meg Roberts just missing the 2km title in 2nd Female overall with Macey Roberts (5km) 3rd Female Overall.

There were plenty of other results across the board but a huge effort from Olivia Latimer with 6th 35-39 Half Marathon only 3 months after giving birth. Kev "Big Dog" Hammond broke the 45 min barrier for the 10km for the first time recording a 43.41. Full results below.

On a hot and very demanding course in Austria for the World 70.3 Champs Scottish athlete Scott Findlay had a tough day out in the office. It hadn't been the perfect prep for Scotty with a achilles injury hampering him but he got to the finish line in the end. hopefully we will see him back here next year for the 70.3 World Champs on the Sunshine Coast
