Sunshine Coast Triathlon Academy / Protector Aluminium athletes were in action at Twilight Run Festival in Brisbane and Xterra Saipan over the weekend.

Firstly to Xterra Saipan where Brodie Gardner lined up as the defending champion. Brodie's day started well with a great swim putting him around the minute behind the lead swimmers. Out onto the Mt Bike course and a nail pierced his wheel where he lost valuable time fixing it. Once up and going he rode and ran himself in contention for the podium but he suffered with cramping to the lower back that halted his progress and finished 8th place. A great job considering he lost valuable time with the puncture.

While down in Brisbane under grey and rainy skies, Mark and Selena Corcoran lined up in the twilight half marathon. Both ran great times to finish 46th and 13th place respectively. Well done
