Another Noosa Triathlon Multisport Festival has been run and won. Some great results from the Sunshine Coast Triathlon Academy / Protector Aluminium Athletes that raced over the weekend. A typical Noosa Greeted the athletes with very warm temperatures, an early northerly wind that added the chop to the swim which made for trying conditions. On the run it was a tailwind out and a heavy push back into the wind.

Matt Wolstencroft took the bragging rights in the Open Masters with the win. Kate Gazzard had a strong win in the Premium Mates wave. Maureen Cummings raced her 20th Noosa and took a 3rd place in the Legends Female Wave. Lucy Bowden had a strong race with 5th Open Female and 16th Female Overall. As too Jordan Gover 5th in a very competitive Open Masters Wave. In the big boys we were represented by Kevin Hammond who was 6th 90-99kg and Michael Woodcock rounded out the top 10 with 9th 45-49 Males.

It was great to see Jake Hynes be awarded the Garth Prowd Scholarship. For myself as a Junior growing up on the Sunshine Coast, The Prowd family and USM were great supporters of myself and my brother. I had learnt a lot from Garth over the years with the commentary and being apart of the Noosa and Mooloolaba Triathlon and various other events in their portfolio. It is a great honour for one of my athletes be awarded this prestigious award.

SCTA Club Members in the Elite Waves were Ryan Fisher 4th, Romy Wolstencroft 8th and Brittany Dutton 9th.

Well done to all that raced. Full results below
