last race of 2021 has been run over last weekend with Sunshine Coast Triathlon Academy / Protector Aluminium Athletes and Club Members in action at QTS # 4 Raby Bay Tri and at Triathlon Queensland Super Sprint Race Weekend and the week prior at Bribie Tri # 2 and GC 50
Round 4 of the QTS was held at Raby Bay and saw some great results from the crew. Leading the charge in the Long Course saw Callum Close 3rd (OPEN Male) dig deep on the run to hold on to his first ever OPEN Podium and collecting some prizemoney along the way. Ruby Blue Weepers 1st (15-19) continues to improve and learn from each race in her first year of competition. Both Jazi Coventry 4th and Sophie Burger 5th racing in the OPEN Females took away some great experience racing against the top ladies and getting a gauge of where they are at.
In the Super Sprint, SCTA Athletes were very successful with 1st Places to Millan Power (U/13), Margo Mackintosh (40-44) and Brett Stalley (55-59). Great to see Pauline Ashley back racing with a 2nd (45-49).
At the TQ Super Sprint Race Weekend SCTA Club Member Ryan Marsh was in action over the 4 days of racing culminating with a 10th Place Junior Male "A" Final.
The previous week at Bribie Triathlon saw Steve Miller 3rd (60-64) and Kyle Wallis 5th (15-16) and a 5 min PB over his last race at Bribie. While in the Short Course Marilyn Shrapnel 1st (70-74) and Wade Wallis 2nd (11-12)
At the Gold Coast 50, Tara Partridge and Tania Gover teamed up to take out 3rd in the Female Teams
