The 34th Edition of the Noosa Triathlon Multisport Festival has been run and The Sunshine Coast Triathlon Academy / Protector Aluminium Athletes recorded some great results. The Noosa Triathlon is the biggest Triathlon in the World and in some of the categories there are 400+ athletes on the start line.

Under perfect conditions with little wind and glassy conditions for the swim, it set up for some fast racing which was reflected in the times. The later the start time they had a bit of wind to contend with out on the course. The run leg became hotter as the day went along and if you were in one of those later waves it did take its toll on the athletes.

Jake Hynes led the charge in taking out the 15-19 title in his 3rd ever olympic distance race making it 2 wins from 3. Olivia Latimer dominated the Athenas to take out the win, While SCTA Junior scholarship recipient, Kaya Shults, along with Romy Wolstencroft and Alexandra Martin Wallace, called Team Muppets, took out the Open Female Teams and recorded 13th Overall Team. Michael Hooper had another great race at Noosa to be 2nd (20-24) and 25th Overall. Maureen Cummings just missed the podium in 4th (55-59) with Zsolt Dallos 5th (35-39).

Kirra Seidel (8th) and Rachel James (15th) both lined up in the Professional female field, in which I believe was stronger field than the mens race, and performed remarkably well in that company. The 40-44 Years Male and Female fields were extremely competitive and massive numbers in that category which saw the Shults duo of Scott (33rd) and Jen (37th) lead the charge.

Kaya Shults led the charge in the 1000m Ocean swim with 6th (13-15) with Sam Penny 14th (40-49) more noted for his 50m speed the 1000m was always going to be a stretch for him. Jazzy Shults had a great race in the Run swim Run on Wednesday which saw her 10th Overall Female and 6th in her category.

Well doen to all that raced. Results below.
