The Sunshine Coast Triathlon Academy / Protector Aluminium Athletes and Club Members were in action at the Gold Coast Triathlon Luke Harrop Memorial Triathlon. Its a special race with a legacy and the remembrance of a good mate that was taken way to early.
Consistency is the key in training to race well..... You do the work you get rewarded with the results. We saw that on the weekend with some stellar performances. Leading the charge in the Sprint Distance was Sophie Burger (14-15) and Ingi Doyle (50-54) with podium wins from the hard work that had been laid. Just missing the podium was Rachel James Olsen (35-39) and Jordan Gover (45-49) both with 2nd places. It was great to see Brett Stalley back racing just missing the podium with 4th (55-59).
SCTA Club Members with Podium Wins went to Georgie Fredricks (16-19) and Greg Bush (65-69). Ryan Marsh 4th (16-19) and John Sheridan 6th (50-54).
In the Enticer over 300/6/2.5 it was great to see Pauline Ashley 1st (45+) back racing while Jayden James 7th (U/14) continues to improve with each race this season. SCTA Club Member Sam McClarron 5th (U/14) while in the Kool Kids Billie Elsum 3rd (7-9) had another great performance while SCTA Club Member Bella McClarron 9th (10-11)
