The Sunshine Coast Tri Academy / Hybrid Concepts Australia Athletes were in action at the Moreton Bay Grand Prix Duathlon and the Cane 2 Coral Run over the weekend.
In very warm and humid conditions at Lakeside Raceway for the MBGP Duathlon for all athletes. The Enduro race consisted of 2 races.
Race # 1 - 2km Run / 7km Cycle / 1.5km Run - Short Course
Race # 2 - 2km Run / 9km Cycle / 1.5km Run / 9km Cycle / 1.5km Run - Long Course
The Short Course Race had all Junior athletes 15 years and under as they are too young to race the long course. Short Course race started at 11.15am and Long Course Race started at 1.15pm. If you have never been to Lakeside Raceway it is a very demanding course with a nice big hill at the top of the circuit with undulating hills and flats to round out the 2km circuit.
In the middle of the 2 races we had a Junior race 12 years and Under and SCTA juniors cleaned up with

Finn Barlow - 1st 10-11 Years FEMALE RACE WINNER
Memphis Shield - 1st 7-9 Years
Maleah Roberts - 2nd 7-9 Years
In the Short Course Race we had some great results with

Savannah Wayner - 2nd - 15-19 Years (3rd Overall female)

In the Cane 2 Coral Half Marathon we had Kirra Seidel line up. Once again Kirra has been in great running form and continued her podium attack the local run races with another Race Win in a record time and finishing 2nd overall.
