A big weekend of racing for the Sunshine Coast Triathlon Academy / Studio Steel Athletes and Club Members with Queensland Schools Triathlon Champs in Hervey Bay, Tasmanian 70.3 and QTS # 6 Caloundra Tri doubling as the Queensland Sprint Championships

Down south in Tasmania for the inaugural 70.3 saw competitors confronted with 16 degree water temperature and outside temp not much different. the rain had subsided from the day before, which saw blue skies and a wind picking up for the journey home on the bike. Maegan Morrison 7th (25-29) had a strong race while Emily Barrett 8th (25-29). For Tara Woodcock 12th (50-54) this was her validation race to secure her legacy spot for the World Ironman Championships in Kona. After crashing his bike the week before the race Liam Roberts was still feeling the effects from this but grinded his way to a 27th (25-29) while Prabakar Kuppusamy 44th (45-49) learnt some more experience at racing the 70.3. Jordan Gover (Swim + Run) and Mick Woodcock (Cycle) joined forces in the Team Event to secure a 2nd (Male Team)
