A few big weeks of racing for the Sunshine Coast Triathlon Academy / Studio Steel Athletes and Club Members in action at Australian Cross Triathlon Champs, Hervey Bay 100 and associated events, Noosa Triathlon Festival, Queensland Aquathlon Champs and Bribie Triathlon.

Over the weekend at the Australian Cross Triathlon Champs SCTA Club Member Brodie Gardner took out his 2nd Elite Australian Title at Ewen Maddock Dam. Noosa Triathlon didn't disappoint with perfect conditions for racing if you got away early before the heat scorched up there were some great performances across the board that saw SCTA secure 2nd Place Tri Club Podium for the 2nd year in a row. Dominated displays from Kim Alexander (50-54) and Greg Bush (70-74) saw Category Wins. Podium finishes to Emma Doyle 2nd (20-24) and Damian Bulters 3rd (40-44). Top 10 finishes to Maureen Cummings 5th (Legends), Mitch Baker 6th (OPEN Male), Jordan Gover 7th (50-54) and Angela Vinnicombe 10th (40-44).

Under grey skies and drizzling rain the Queensland Aquathlon Champs were held at Lake Kawana that saw 6 Queensland Champions crowned with Keith Campbell (35-39), Damian Bulters (40-44), Jude Brimelow (12-13), Grace Brimelow (14-18 Multiclass), Marcello Power (10-13 Multiclass) and SCTA Club Member Ryan Marsh (18-19). Securing a Silver was Emma McInnes 2nd (18-19)

Bribie Island Triathlon Race # 1 saw Marilyn Shrapnell 1st (75+), Jericho Pogany 3rd (17-19). SCTA Club Member Ryan Fisher took out the Race Honours with a dominate performance.
