Down at Eastern Creek in NSW, the NSW Cross Country Champs were being held with the Wooldridge Sisters in action. Both Mia and Ella had already qualified for National Cross Country thru Athletics NSW, so it was Erin's last chance to qualify for NSW. Next up was Ella in the 16 Years Girls and she had a great race to finish 13th. Always a cold start to the day and this was no exception. we had 8 athletes racing with 4 State Champions and a bronze. The 30-34 category that she was in all finished in the top 5 Females overall.
While a few days earlier, Tania Gover lined up in the Aquathlon World Champs over a 1km Swim 5km Run combo where the local jellyfish came out to greet all the swimmers. It hasn't been an ideal prep for Tania but she got in there and gave it a red hot go to finish 12th 40-44 and on the way was 2nd Aussie overall amongst all the categories.
While in the Kokoda Challenge on the Gold Coast where we had Anastasia Heikkila and Ron Craig competing over the 96km course on the Gold Coast where temperatures really plummeted overnight.
