Race Updates

Well done to the Sunshine Coast Triathlon Academy / Protector Aluminium Athletes and Club Members in action at QTS # 5 at Robina. The cloud cover and light rain was welcomed by the Athletes as predominately this is always a very hot race, but with the light rain came very high humidity. Once the sun came out in patched is was very warm.

Some great results were achieved over all distances. In the Standard Distance, Emily Donker 1st (OPEN) put together a solid race to come off the bike in 2nd and run herself to victory. Also claiming top honours was Jordan Gover (50-54) hot on his heels was Kim Alexander 2nd (50-54) and John Sheridan 5th (50-54) while Josh Christie 13th (35-39) had a massive PB over that distance.

In the Sprint Distance, SCTA Club Member Paul Marchant 1st (25-29). Sophie Burger 2nd (16-19) had another solid race. Rebecca Howell 4th (25-29) had a great day out, while Ruby Blue Weepers 6th (16-19) continues to improve with each race.

In the Enticer, the Juniors got a taste of wet weather racing and took some valuable experience away that saw Addison Houslip 1st (U/14), Millan Power 4th (U/14), Grace Brimelow 8th (U/16), Sienna Carter 12th (U/14), Jude Brimelow 16th (U/14) and Emily Simms 20th (U/14).
