Another weekend of action for Sunshine Coast Triathlon Academy / Protector Aluminium Athletes.
While it was little different for some, SCTA Athletes gave them time to help and volunteer at Triathlon Pink Sunshine Coast. A big thanks to all that came out and helped. The Race organisers and Triathlon Australia officials all commented how easy it was having a group that understood the sport and helped with a lot of newbies get thru their first triathlon. And the pack down of the venue was done in record time. Nice work Team SCTA Brodie Gardner headed to Thailand for Round # 2 of the Xterra Asia Pacific Tour. In very warm and humid conditions, very technical bike, Brodie had a solid day out to land on the podium in 3rd place and gain some vital points on the Tour Standings. This week Brodie will fly to New Zealand for Round # 3 of the Tour. This weekend sees the SCTA team head to Luke Harrop Memorial - Gold Coast Triathlon. With Rachel James in action on the Saturday in the WTS Race. Rachel will make history by being the first Male or Female from the Pacific Island Region to gain a start in a WTS event. Make sure if you are around to get down and support her. Then on the Sunday we will see the rest line up over the sprint distance format. Good luck to all racing.
