Race Updates

First round of the Queensland Triathlon Series was held at Raby Bay on Sunday 25th September where the Sunshine Coast Triathlon Academy / Studio Steel Athletes and Club Members performed very well.

In the Club Distance Emily Donker continued from last year with another podium finish in the OPEN Females with a 2nd. It was great to see Emma McInnes step up into the OPEN category for the first time to finish with a storming run to take 6th. Podium Wins went to Kim Alexander (50-54), Pauline Ashley (50-54) and the trio of Evy, Tania and Margo in the Female Teams while Jordan Gover 2nd (50-54)

In the Super Sprint strong performances from Millan Power 6th (14-15) and great to see Jericho Pogany 7th (16-19) back racing again. Emily Simms recorded a 5 min PB on this course showing the winter training is paying off.

In the Enticer Jaz Phoenix Edminstone had a great race to take 1st (U/14) and 1st Female Overall, while Jude Brimelow 4th (U/14) and Jacob Page 9th (U/14) with lots of positives to take away for the next round. Very competitive racing in the Phoenix Kids racing saw all 4 performed well for the start of the season with Sophie Page 4th, Marcello Power and Billie Elsum 10th and Thomas Simms 17th.

Next round this weekend at Moreton Bay for Club Championships.
